Noida News: Noida is witnessing a meaningful shift in its power infrastructure as part of the Business Plan 2025–26, aimed at strengthening electricity distribution and supporting rapid industrial expansion. With rising energy demand from manufacturing units, technology parks, and residential clusters, the focus has moved toward capacity enhancement and long-term reliability. Recent developments in Sector-63A mark a significant step in that direction, promising operational stability and economic momentum for the region.
The Business Plan 2025–26 has been designed to modernize the electricity network across the district by addressing chronic issues such as overloading, voltage fluctuation, and frequent tripping. A total investment of Rs 97.51 crore has been allocated to improve substations, transformers, and related distribution systems. The plan emphasizes proactive upgrades rather than reactive maintenance, ensuring the power network can support future demand without disruption.
One of the most impactful upgrades under this plan is the installation of a new 10 MVA transformer at the Sector-63A substation. With this addition, the total capacity of the substation has increased from 25 MVA to 30 MVA. This enhancement directly strengthens the local grid, enabling it to handle higher loads during peak operational hours and reducing stress on existing infrastructure.
Sector-63A is known as a major industrial hub, housing approximately 2,200 industrial units across diverse sectors. Before the upgrade, many of these units faced frequent power interruptions and voltage instability due to excessive load on the substation. The added five MVA capacity now provides sufficient buffer, ensuring smoother operations, reduced downtime, and improved productivity for factories and small manufacturing businesses alike.
Overloading and tripping were common concerns in the area, especially during high-demand periods. The new transformer significantly reduces these issues by distributing load more evenly and maintaining voltage consistency. As a result, complaint frequency related to power cuts and equipment damage is expected to decline, improving overall consumer satisfaction.
