Mumbai, Dec 30: Defending Women’s Premier League (WPL) champions Mumbai Indians have named former Australia leg‑spinner Kristen Beams as their spin‑bowling coach ahead of the 2026 season, strengthening the franchise’s coaching lineup.

Beams, aged 41, represented Australia in all formats and was among the top performers at the 2017 Women’s ODI World Cup before transitioning into coaching. She brings extensive experience from the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), The Hundred, and roles including coach of Australia’s Under‑19 women’s team and development positions with Cricket Australia.

In her new role with Mumbai Indians, Beams will join an experienced support staff featuring head coach Lisa Keightley, bowling mentor Jhulan Goswami, batting coach Devika Palshikar and fielding coach Nicole Bolton. She said she was excited to work with respected figures and become part of a close‑knit team culture that has consistently delivered success.
