The statement came from a member of The Sims community team on Reddit, just hours after a new leak appeared online claiming to reveal details of what could be the final expansion pack for The Sims 4. In the comment, posted under the username Mindy_SimsCommunity, the team member said:

“Hey Simmers. We know there’s a lot of misinformation going around. We’ll be back in early January with what to know via our official Sims channels. We hope you all enjoy the holidays!”

The comment did not confirm or deny any specific leak.

Leaks fuel speculation about The Sims franchise
Speculation increased on December 23 after an X user claimed that The Sims 4 would receive a 21st expansion pack themed around royalty. The post also said the expansion would include three “kingdom types” and would be the game’s final major content release, followed only by updates and smaller Kit packs.

That claim was later discussed on fan forums and social media, leading to the response from EA’s community team. The company has not clarified which parts of the leak it considers inaccurate.

Other rumours have also circulated in recent months. In November, a separate leak claimed that a single-player Sims project linked to Project Rene could be released separately in 2026. Another report suggested a possible Sims 4 remaster, though this was disputed by several Sims content creators.

EA has previously used official livestreams and videos to share updates about the franchise. In 2022, the company revealed Project Rene, described as the next generation of The Sims, during a “Behind the Sims” presentation.

For now, EA has only confirmed that more information will be shared through official channels early next year.
