India's Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has reached Bangladesh to attend the funeral of Khaleda Zia. Although this visit of S. Jaishankar is formal for consolation, but S. Jaishankar's visit to Dhaka is considered important in many ways for Khaleda Zia amid the elections. Jaishankar is going to Dhaka at a time when the bitterness in relations between Bangladesh and India is at its peak. In the last one month, both the countries have summoned each other's ambassadors twice.

Foreign Minister Jaishankar's departure is also considered important because Khaleda Zia India has given shelter to Sheikh Hasina, considered a political enemy, in New Delhi. Sheikh Hasina is considered close to India. In such a situation, the question is arising that why is India now trying to include Khaleda Zia's party in the politics of Bangladesh?

At present there is no possibility of Sheikh Hasina returning

Even after the coup, Sheikh Hasina was hopeful of returning to Bangladesh. For this, Sheikh Hasina was repeatedly emphasizing on public opinion. Her supporters believe that the public is still with her, but due to the changed circumstances, Sheikh Hasina's tension has increased. Sheikh Hasina's party has been banned in Bangladesh. His party Awami League cannot contest elections.

This means that the possibility of Sheikh Hasina's return for the next 5 years is now over. On the other hand, in the political environment in Bangladesh, it is being said that BNP government can be formed. In all the surveys that have come till now in Bangladesh, BNP has been predicted to get a big lead.

If we look at the politics of Bangladesh, for the last 35 years either Awami League or BNP has been in power there. In such a situation, on the basis of the old track, it is also being said that Tariq Rehman's government can be formed in the next elections.

BNP's tone changed regarding India and Hindus

Before 2006, there was BNP government in Bangladesh. At that time his relations with India were not going well. Khaleda Zia and her government had opened an open front against India, due to which they also suffered losses. When army officers in Bangladesh took a stand against Khaleda, India did not provide any help. Tariq Rehman had to go to jail and Khaleda had to give up power.

BNP has now learned from this mistake. Now BNP has changed its tune regarding India. Recently when Tariq came from London, he gave a speech. Tariq said that this country belongs to everyone, Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians. Tariq called for defeating hatred and taking the society forward.

Experts say that after Sheikh Hasina's departure, BNP paid maximum attention to not making too many statements on foreign policy. Especially in the case of India. This is the reason why no BNP leader has given any statement against India in the last one and a half year. On the contrary, Tariq Rehman targeted the Pakistan-backed Jamaat and discussed the 1971 war.

Why is it important for India to set Tariq?

1. Interference of China and Pakistan- The interference of China and Pakistan is continuously increasing in Bangladesh. According to the recent report of Pentagon, China is trying to establish a military base in Bangladesh. China has its eyes on Lalmonirhat. It is close to the chicken neck of India. At the same time, Pakistan is also increasing its presence in Bangladesh through Jamaat.

There is a 4096 km open border between India and Bangladesh, which is currently being surrounded with wire. If the influence of China and Pakistan increases in Bangladesh, it will not be easy to keep it safe.

2. Geopolitics of South Asia- China, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Nepal and Sri Lanka are located in India's neighbourhood. India has enmity with Pakistan and China. India's relations with the junta army of Myanmar are also not good. In such a situation, it is necessary to make efforts for Bangladesh.

India also played an important role in the independence of Bangladesh. Not only this, Bangladesh is the first Muslim country in South Asia, where 9 percent Hindus live. India cannot turn a blind eye to these.
