The stock market is seeing mixed trading on the first day of the new year. Meanwhile on January 1st Apollo Micro Systems Ltd. a defence and aerospace company shared important information with its shareholders on the very first day of the year and since then the stock has been trading in the green. Apollo Defense Industries Private Limited a subsidiary of Apollo Micro Systems Ltd has entered into an agreement with a private company for the execution of a contract worth ₹1500 crore as part of its normal business operations the company said in a filing. This agreement is considered a significant step towards expanding the companys business and strengthening its order book. As of 12:56 pm the stock was trading at Rs 275.05 up 1.05% or Rs 2.85 on the BSE while on the NSE the stock was trading at Rs 274.40 up 0.88% or Rs 2.40. Just yesterday we received a big order from Coal India. In a filing dated December 31 the company had said that its step-down subsidiary M/s. IDL Explosives Limited had received a large order as part of its regular business. The company has been awarded a Running Contract (RC) worth ₹4193.96 million for the supply of bulk explosives to subsidiary companies of Coal India Limited. In addition an export order worth ₹15 million for the supply of cartridge explosives has also been received. Together these two orders bring the companys total value to ₹4208.96 million. Recently a major approval was also received from DRDO. In another filing the company had said that it has received approval from DRDO for two separate Transfer of Technology (ToT) related to laser-based Directed Energy Weapon (DEW). The first technology involves a 10 kW multi-channel laser DEW system developed by the Hyderabad-based CHESS lab. The second technology involves an electro-optical tracking system with EO sensors for DEW developed by the IRDE lab in Dehradun.
