The exam city slips for students who have applied for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 Session 1 will be available for download soon. According to the brochure released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the city intimation slips will be released in the first week of January 2026.  The city slip, containing details of the examination city, will be available online on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in, from where students can download it by entering their login details.

When is the exam?
The JEE Main Session 1 exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from January 21 to 30, 2026, at designated examination centers across the country.

How to download the city slip:
Once the JEE Main exam city slip is released, you will first need to visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
On the website's homepage, go to LATEST NEWS and click on the exam city slip link.
Now, on the next page, you will have to fill in your application number, password, and the given code, and submit.
After this, the city intimation slip will open on the screen, from where you can download it and take a printout.

Admit cards will be available on this date:
According to the information provided by the NTA, the JEE Main admit cards will be released 3 to 4 days before the exam date. Therefore, it is estimated that the admit cards will be made available on January 17 or 18, 2026. All students should note that the exam city slip can only be used for information regarding the examination city. It is mandatory to carry the admit card and a valid identity proof to the examination center.

The exam will be conducted in two shifts:
According to the previous pattern, the NTA will examine two shifts. The first shift will be from 9 AM to 12 PM and the second shift will be from 3 PM to 6 PM. Students are advised to visit the official website regularly for the latest updates related to the exam.
