The country is soon going to get its first Vande Bharat train. This train will run on a longer route than before and will have more facilities. The route of this train has been announced. It is going to run between Guwahati and Kolkata.
According to media reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to flag off this train. It can be started from 17th or 18th of January in the year 2026. Let us give you information about the route and features of this train.
According to the information given by the Railways, Bande Bharat Sleeper train will run from Guwahati to Kolkata. It can be inaugurated in the next 15 to 20 days. It is going to stop at many major stations between Guwahati and Kolkata.
To travel in Vande Bharat Sleeper train, passengers will have to pay different fares according to different classes. Those traveling in First AC will have to pay Rs 3600, those traveling in Second AC will have to pay Rs 3000 and those traveling in Third AC will have to pay Rs 2300.
Talking about the specialty of Vande Bharat Sleeper Train, it will be equipped with modern facilities. This includes European style berths, bio vacuum toilets, charging points reading lights, automatic doors and better security. This train will run at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour. The facility of bathing with hot water is provided in its first class.
Not only this, this train is going to have facilities like audio visual announcement, CCTV, night light and folding table. The pantry will be completely modular. Passengers will get to enjoy regional food. There will be a separate toilet for the pilot in this. The person traveling in this train is going to be provided facilities like 5 star hotel.
