The Haryana government's Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, launched for women, has been modified and expanded. Several announcements regarding the scheme were made at a press conference held on New Year's Day after a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. The Lado Lakshmi Yojana has not only been expanded but also undergone significant changes. From now on, Rs. 2100 will not be deposited into the accounts every month. Furthermore, the annual income limit for the scheme has been increased from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 1,80,000.
The Haryana government has already made several changes to this scheme, which was launched in September 2025. Now, at the beginning of 2026, the scheme has been further expanded. According to the Chief Minister, 10,00,255 women have applied for this scheme so far. Of these, 8 lakh women have already started receiving Rs. 2100 under the scheme. CM Nayab Singh Saini said that the Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, which was started for sisters and daughters, has been expanded. Several changes have been made to the scheme, some of which are quite significant.
Now, Rs. 2100 will not be deposited into the accounts.
The most important change in this Haryana government scheme is the amount received every month. Women had already received Rs. 2100 each in the first two installments. But after this, the government announced that women would receive the money every three months instead of every month. Now, on January 1, 2026, the Chief Minister said in a press conference that of the Rs. 2100 currently being deposited into the accounts of sisters and daughters, Rs. 1100 will be deposited directly into their accounts, while the remaining Rs. 1000 will be put into a fixed deposit (FD) by the government. Thus, instead of Rs. 6300 every three months, only Rs. 3300 will be received.
The income limit for the Lado Lakshmi Yojana application has increased.
The eligibility criterion for the Lado Lakshmi Yojana was an annual income limit of Rs. 1,00,000. The scheme has now been expanded, increasing the annual family income limit to ₹1,80,000. However, there are certain conditions for this income bracket. If women meet these conditions, they can apply even with an annual income of ₹1,80,000. The following categories of women are included in the scheme:
Women whose children have scored more than 80 percent marks in 10th and 12th grades.
Women whose child was malnourished or anemic but has now become healthy and moved into the green zone (indicating good health).
Mothers of children who have achieved grade-level proficiency in classes 1 to 4 under the Nipun Mission.
