When will the fifth installment of the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi be released?
The program for the fifth installment of the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi was initially scheduled during the farmers' conference held in December 2025. However, it was later postponed. It is estimated that farmers will receive this benefit in the first month of the new year. However, no official announcement has been made yet. What is the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?
The Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was implemented in the state from June 30, 2024.
In the budget for the year 2024-25, the government announced that, in addition to the Rs. 6000 annual amount received under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the state government would provide an additional Rs. 3000 annually. This will give farmers a total of Rs. 9000 every year.
Under this scheme, an amount of Rs. 1355.14 crore has already been disbursed to eligible farmers in three installments through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
The fourth installment of the scheme was released on October 18, 2025. In this installment, Rs. 1000 per farmer was transferred to 74 lakh farmers in the state.

Objectives of the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

Eligibility for the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
To avail the benefits of the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the farmer must be registered under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Farmers receiving benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi will receive financial assistance under this scheme.

Definition of a Farmer Family in the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
A farming family includes the husband, wife, and children under 18 years of age.
Children above 18 years of age will not be included in the definition of a farming family.
Only one member from a farming family owning land will be eligible for the scheme's benefits.

Farmers who owned land before February 1, 2019, are eligible for this scheme.
If the land was inherited after February 1, 2019, such farmers will also be considered eligible.

Ineligibility for the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme
Not all institutional landholders are eligible for this scheme.
Farmer families where one or more members fall under the following categories will not receive the benefits of the scheme:
Persons holding or having held constitutional posts
Employees and pensioners of the Central and State Governments, whether serving or retired
Officers, employees, and pensioners of autonomous bodies and public sector undertakings of the Central and State Governments
Employees of Panchayati Raj Institutions and their associated autonomous bodies, as well as regular employees of local bodies (excluding Multi-Tasking Staff, Group D, and Fourth Group employees)
Retired pensioners whose monthly pension is ₹10,000 or more (excluding Multi-Tasking Staff, Group D, and Fourth Group employees)
Farmers who paid income tax in the previous year
Professionals who are registered with and practicing in a professional body, such as doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, and architects etc.

Application Process for Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme
Farmers can apply themselves by visiting the Government of India's PM-Kisan portal.
If farmers are unable to apply themselves, they can also register at the nearest CSC or e-Mitra center.

Documents Required for Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme
Aadhaar card of all family members
Application must be made using the farmer's 12-digit Farmer ID
A DBT-enabled bank account is mandatory
The mobile number linked to Aadhaar should be available at the time of registration to receive the OTP.

Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Farmer Registry
The benefits of the scheme will be available only to those farmers whose names are registered in the Farmer Registry ID.
The Farmer Registry is a government digital system where farmers' information is stored in a central database.
