Magh Mela 2026 Snan Date And Time: In the Hindu calendar, the month of Magh is considered extremely sacred and virtuous. It is believed that one who bathes, donates, chants and does penance in this month, gets special spiritual results. For this reason, a grand Magh Fair is organized every year in the month of Magh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. This fair is held on the banks of Triveni Sangam. Magh Mela is a wonderful confluence of faith and devotion.

Lakhs of people, saints and Kalpavasis come to the fair from India and abroad and take a dip in the Sangam. There is a Hindu religious belief that whoever takes a dip in the Sangam in the month of Magh, gets eternal virtue. Sins are destroyed. Spiritual purification takes place. In the year 2026, Magh Mela is starting from tomorrow i.e. 03 January. This fair will continue till 15th February.   • Second major bath: Makar Sankranti 14 January
  • Third major bath: Mauni Amavasya 18 January
  • Fourth major bath: Basant Panchami 23 January
  • Fifth major bath: Maghi Purnima 1 February
  • Sixth major bath: Mahashivratri 15 February

Magh Mela 2026 Auspicious time for bathing (Magh Mela 2026 Snan Subh Muhurat)

It is said in Hindu scriptures that Brahma Muhurta is best for bathing, charity and religious rituals. The time of Brahma Muhurta is considered to be from 04 am to 05.30 am. It is believed that whoever goes and takes a dip in the Sangam during the Magh Mela, gets manifold rewards. This is why devotees are advised to take a holy dip in the Brahma Muhurta during Magh Mela.
