The discussion regarding the health of US President Donald Trump has once again intensified. Trump, 79, is the second oldest person to hold the office of President. Before him, Democratic President Joe Biden was 82 years old when he left the presidency. Meanwhile, recently blue marks (bruises) were seen on Trump's hands. Now Trump has talked about his health and said that he is absolutely fit.
US President Donald Trump has said that the blue marks (bruises) visible on his hand are not due to any fall or health problem, but are due to the aspirin medicine he takes daily. It was also claimed that Trump had fallen asleep during the public meeting. Now Trump has rejected this also.
At the age of 79, Trump is America's oldest president. In an interview given to The Wall Street Journal, he said that his health is absolutely perfect. He has also expressed his displeasure over the continuous discussion regarding his health. In recent weeks, media reports raised questions about blue marks on her hands—which sometimes appear to be covered with makeup—and swelling in her ankles. Responding to this, Trump said that he takes aspirin daily to thin the blood, due to which such marks occur.
On the questions being repeatedly raised about his health in the interview, Trump said, let's talk about health again for the 25th time. He denied any deterioration in his health and said that he was completely fit to discharge his responsibilities as President. Trump said, they say aspirin is good for thinning the blood and I don't want thick blood flowing from my heart. I want good, thin blood to flow from my heart.
The Republican President said that when his hand gets hit hard, he applies makeup or a bandage on it. Talking about the blue marks on his hands, he said that it happened when his Attorney General Pam Bondi's ring got hit on the back of his hand while giving him a high-five.
Trump has been seen struggling to keep his eyes open on several occasions, including during an Oval Office meeting in November. However, he rejected this. He said,
I have never been much of a sleeper. He described the incidents in which he appeared to be dozing off as moments of relaxation. I just close my eyes. It is very relaxing for me. Sometimes they take a picture of me blinking.
On the question of getting an MRI done in October, Trump said that he had got a CT scan done. CT scanning is a faster and more common way to take pictures of the body. Trump also denied that he has any problem in hearing. These concerns being raised about Trump have come to the fore at a time when he is being reminded of his own old statements, in which he had repeatedly made fun of former President Joe Biden by calling him Sleepy Joe.
