The Central Ministry of Information and Technology has issued a stern notice. In this matter involving Elon Musk's company, X, the Indian government has issued strict directives, demanding the removal of obscene and illegal content being used on the social media platform. The order, issued on January 2nd, states that content created using X's AI app, Grok, must be removed immediately. Failure to comply will result in legal action against the company.

X Fails to Fulfill its Obligations
Taking cognizance of the allegations against X, the government has issued a notice to X's Chief Compliance Officer in India. It states that X has failed to comply with its statutory obligations.

Company Flouting Rules and Regulations, Government Expresses Displeasure
The government has also strongly objected to the violation of rules under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Users Openly Misusing AI
When Elon Musk launched Grok, he proudly stated that his AI would not have the same strict restrictions as other tools (such as ChatGPT or Gemini). However, this freedom has now become a threat to women. Users are openly using Grok AI to morph (manipulate) pictures of other users available on the platform.

A History of Controversies
The social media platform X's AI tool, Grok, has been accused of spreading obscenity. Earlier, it was reported that employees training Grok were forced to view horrific content, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Additionally, Grok's Companion Mode also faced considerable criticism due to its highly objectionable design and behavior.
