Paragraph-style answers help demonstrate language skills, coherence, and depth of understanding, particularly in literature-based or analytical questions. Overusing short bullet points may dilute the explanation and reduce conceptual clarity.
Examiners agree that well-structured answers are easier to evaluate. Clear handwriting, logical flow, and meaningful content matter more than decorative writing styles. English teachers, in particular, observe that students often hesitate to write detailed explanations even when required, which can lead to loss of marks.

Ensure each bullet point expresses a complete idea, not just keywords.

Maintain a logical sequence—move from definition to explanation or cause to effect.
Avoid unnecessary repetition and focus on relevance.
