More than 10 thousand jobs… 500 bed super specialty hospital will be built in Varanasi, 13 proposals approved in Yogi cabinet meeting

A cabinet meeting was held at Lok Bhawan, Lucknow on 06 January 2026 (Tuesday) under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In this meeting, 14 important proposals of many departments including Stamp and Registration, Industry, Transport were put forward. Of these, 13 proposals were approved. Cabinet ministers Suresh Khanna, Ravindra Jaiswal, Yogendra Upadhyay and Nand Gopal Nandi informed the media about the decisions taken in the meeting.

In the decisions of the cabinet meeting, while on one hand a major relief has been given in stamp duty on donation of family property, on the other hand the SOP of Global Capacity Center Policy to promote industrial investment and employment has also been approved.

Important decisions of Yogi cabinet

  • Now, on transfer of industrial and commercial properties like residential and agricultural properties in the name of loved ones, stamp duty of Rs 5,000 will be levied.
  • The Industry Department has prepared guidelines regarding Global Capability Center (GCC). Its rules and regulations have also been approved. Minister Nand Gopal Nandi said- 21 companies have started work under the guidelines, which will provide more than 10 thousand jobs.
  • Under the Semiconductor Policy 2024, subsidy will be given to entrepreneurs who invest Rs 3,000 crore in the field of semiconductor manufacturing in UP.
  • 11 buildings of Varanasi Divisional Hospital will be demolished. A 500-bed super specialty hospital will be built there, which will be ready in four years.
  • 50 acres of land will be given for National Forensic Science University in Varanasi.
  • IIMT University Meerut has got permission to open a campus in Noida.
  • Bus stand will be built in Pilibhit. For this, 7,000 square meter land of the Revenue Department will be given on lease to the Transport Department for 30 years.
  • There are 18 posts of Regional Sports Officer. Of these, 12 posts will be filled by promotion and 6 posts will be filled by international medal winning players.
  • The dilapidated buildings of PAC 37th Corps Kanpur will be demolished. 108 type-one residences will be constructed on this land.
  • Land will be given for sub-registrar offices in Jhansi and Kushinagar.

Apart from this, Yogendra Upadhyay told that JS University Shikohabad College was established in 2011. Vice Chancellor Sukesh Yadav and Registrar Vandan Mishra were arrested because fake marksheets were issued from this university. After this, when the Under Secretary of the Higher Education Council went to investigate, he was not given the expected cooperation. Under Section 55(3), DM was asked to investigate. Investigation was conducted by EOW. After all the investigations, the recognition of the university was terminated and the process of liquidation was completed.

He told that it was a private university. Fake marksheets were found in Rajasthan. The course was running without agricultural recognition. Meerut IIMT University had proposed to open an off-campus university. Now operating authorization letter has been given. The university is in Meerut and its off campus will be in Noida.
