Comedy star and actress Amy Schumer has officially filed for divorce from Chris Fischer . The two had been married for the past 7 years, and also share a son, Gene. The news comes only a month after the couple announced that they are no longer together.
Amy Schumer files for divorceAccording to People, the ‘I Feel Pretty’ actress filed for divorce officially on January 6. She had announced that the two of them had split after 7 years of marriage in a social media post on December 12. The post read that their split was 'amicable', and the two were parting on good terms.
She also wrote in her social media post that, “We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time. blah blah blah not because I dropped some lbs and thought I could bag a basket ball player and not because he’s a hot James beard award winning chef who can still pull some hot tail,”
