Aditya Dhar’s film ‘Dhurandhar’ is currently enjoying a strong run at the box office. The movie has been receiving widespread appreciation for its gripping narrative and powerful performances. Ranveer Singh appears as Hamza, while Akshaye Khanna portrays the intense and mysterious character of Rahman Dacoit.

Actor Naveen Kaushik, who played the role of Donga in the film, recently shared behind-the-scenes insights about the atmosphere on set. In an interview, he revealed how different Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna were in real life compared to each other—and how deeply both actors immersed themselves in their roles.

Completely Absorbed in Their Characters

According to Naveen Kaushik, both Ranveer and Akshaye stayed deeply connected to their characters throughout the shoot. The tension and dynamics seen on screen were often reflected in real life as well.

Naveen explained that while Ranveer Singh was extremely friendly and interactive with the entire team, Akshaye Khanna preferred to keep to himself, fully focused on his character.

Ranveer Singh: Energetic, Friendly, and Approachable

Speaking about Ranveer Singh, Naveen said,
“Ranveer was like a live wire on set. He carried immense energy and loved interacting with everyone. He never liked seeing people sitting idle and would often pull others into conversations.”

In contrast to his serious on-screen character Hamza, Ranveer Singh is cheerful, curious, and full of life. Once the director called “cut,” he instantly returned to his real personality—unless the scene demanded emotional intensity.

Akshaye Khanna: Calm, Reserved, and Deeply Focused

Talking about Akshaye Khanna, Naveen described him as polite, soft-spoken, and introspective.
“He would talk warmly if someone approached him, but the moment the conversation ended, he would slip back into his own space,” Naveen shared.

According to him, Akshaye’s off-screen demeanor closely mirrored his character Rahman Dacoit—quiet, observant, and unpredictable—making his performance even more authentic.

Real-Life Reflections of On-Screen Dynamics

Naveen added that the actors playing gang members often sat together, chatting and laughing, while Akshaye Khanna mostly stayed apart. This natural separation added realism to the film’s narrative tension.

Excitement Builds for ‘Dhurandhar 2’

With the success of the first installment, excitement is already building for ‘Dhurandhar 2’, which is scheduled to release on March 19. Fans are eager to see Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna share the screen once again.
