The Ukrainian president expressed gratitude to the US for being willing to support Ukraine in areas such as rebuilding and security assurances.

“With the U.S. President’s team – @SEPeaceMissions Steve Witkoff and @jaredkushner- we continued discussions on the diplomatic path to ending the war,” he said in a post on X. I express my gratitude to the United States for its willingness to act as a backup in all areas, including rebuilding, ceasefire monitoring, and security assurances. Our teams will resume work on security assurances and a fundamental foundation for ending the conflict in Paris on January 7. NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov, General Andrii Hnatov, First Deputy Head of the Office Sergiy Kyslytsya, Advisor to the Office of the President Oleksandr Bevz, and Head of the Office Kyrylo Budanov will all represent Ukraine. I am grateful to the United States and President Trump for their support. Every day is not wasted.

In an earlier post on X, US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff said that in order to further President Trump’s peace plan for Ukraine, the US mission met with the Ukrainian delegation and the Coalition of the Willing.

According to him, White House adviser Josh Gruenbaum, Ambassador Charles Kushner, General Alex Grynkewich, and Jared Kushner were all part of the US group.

“Today, the US delegation met in Paris with the Ukrainian delegation and members of the Coalition of the Willing to advance President Trump’s peace plan on Ukraine,” Witkoff said. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, General Alex Grynkewich, Ambassador Charles Kushner, and White House adviser Josh Gruenbaum were among the members of the US group. We met with Ukrainian leaders like President Zelenskyy and European leaders like President Macron on several occasions, and we are inspired by the parties’ cooperation and collaboration. On a number of important workstreams, such as our prosperity plan and our framework for bilateral security guarantees, we have made great strides. A statement detailing the Coalition’s framework for a security guarantee was also issued. We will keep collaborating with the Coalition because we share their belief that strong economic pledges and long-term security assurances are critical to a sustainable peace in Ukraine. We expect to gain more constructive momentum soon, and we will be carrying on with our talks with the Ukrainian delegation tonight and tomorrow.”

To further President Trump’s peace proposal for Ukraine, the US delegation met with the Coalition of the Willing members and the Ukrainian mission in Paris today.

General Alex Grynkewich, Jared Kushner, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and others were part of the US group.

The leaders of the Coalition of the Willing, Ukraine, and the United States emphasized their commitment to “just and lasting peace in Ukraine” at their meeting in Paris. According to the European Commission’s official statement released on Tuesday (local time), they applauded the efforts made by partners in achieving peace.

The summit brought “unprecedented unity” between the US, Ukraine, and the Coalition of Willing on security guarantees for peace in Ukraine, according to French President Emmanuel Macron.

The participants agreed to make a number of legally and politically binding pledges that would take effect as soon as a ceasefire is implemented, according to the meeting.

According to the European Commission’s statement, the Coalition agreed to continue providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine with vital long-term military assistance and armament, which would include, among other things, long-term defense packages and support for financing the purchase of weapons. This would include participation in a proposed US-led ceasefire monitoring and verification mechanism.
