Some trains will remain canceled for the next three days

Trains Cancelled: Railways is such a means of transportation through which millions of people travel every day in India. Railways runs thousands of trains every day to take passengers safely to their destination. At present, severe cold and dense fog is continuing in many areas of the country, the effect of which is also visible on railway operations. Due to dense fog and change in weather, time tables of many trains have been changed and many trains are running late from their scheduled time. Meanwhile, Tatanagar Railway Division has decided to cancel many MEMU and passenger trains for the next three days due to security reasons.

Why were the trains cancelled?

According to the Railway Department, some MEMU and passenger trains passing through Tatanagar Railway Division will remain canceled from 7 January 2026 to 9 January 2026 (for three days). Railways said that this step has been taken keeping in mind the safety of passengers. According to the information, some sections under Chakradharpur Railway Division remain extremely sensitive during winter. Here, continuous movement of wild elephants is seen on the track adjacent to the forest. Sometimes elephants suddenly come on the railway line, due to which the possibility of an accident increases.

Railway officials said that continuing regular train operations in such a situation could be risky for passengers and wildlife. In view of this danger, Railways has decided to temporarily cancel MEMU and passenger trains. The Railway Department says that as soon as the situation becomes normal, trains will start running on their scheduled time. Also, Railways has appealed to the passengers to check the information and status of the train once before travelling.
