Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is facing domestic abuse allegations from his former girlfriend, Dacoda Nichole, who claims the abuse spanned several years. On Tuesday, Nichole shared her ordeal thorugh a social media post including photos that appeared to show physical injuries and damage inside a home, such as a hole and cracks in a wall. In her caption, she described a pattern of physical and emotional abuse, intimidation, and controlling behavior, which she says continued even after their relationship ended. Rice has not publicly responded, and the claims have not been independently verified or led to any official charges.
“I’m so tired of staying silent and protecting his image,” Nichole wrote on Instagram, saying she reached a breaking point after years of silence. She accused the NFL player of repeatedly showing up at her home without permission, damaging her property, and intimidating her during and after their relationship.
Nichole also claimed some incidents happened while she was pregnant and said she was once locked outside overnight in freezing temperatures following a dispute over alleged infidelity. She further alleged that Rice destroyed her personal belongings and did not provide consistent financial or parental support for their children.
“He tries to put on this persona like he’s dad of the year,” Nichole wrote, saying his public image did not match her private experiences. She added that she chose to speak out to 'protect my peace, protect my children, and stand up for myself'.
"The club is aware of the allegations on social media and is in communication with the National Football League," the Chiefs said in a statement without naming Rice. "We have no further comment at this time."
