The makers of the upcoming horror comedy Bhooth Bangla, led by Akshay Kumar, have announced a change in the film’s release plans. The film, which was earlier slated to hit cinemas on a different date, will now be released theatrically on May 15, 2026.

Balaji Motion Pictures announced the revised release date with a quirky social media post. Sharing the update online, the production house wrote, “Bangle se ek khabar aayi hai! (The news has come from the mansion),” before confirming, “The doors open on 15th May 2026.

Earlier, the makers had announced April 2, 2026, as the film’s release date. However, it has now been officially confirmed that the release has been pushed ahead by a month, with the film set to hit theatres on March 19, 2026.

A majority of users think that the makers of Bhooth Bangla have postponed the movie to escape the heat of Dhurandhar part 2, which is slated for release on March 19 and is expected to run in theatres for weeks.
