Andhra Pradesh: On Thursday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy attacked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of betraying all facets of the state’s population.

The YSRCP Chief described Chandrababu Naidu as a traitor who prioritizes his own interests above that of the people during a news conference.
The former chief minister described Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s “misdeeds” and his “propaganda machinery” in detail.
Chandrababu Naidu was also criticized by him for “credit chori, rampant corruption, and gross financial indiscipline.”
In his thorough account of how the Chief Minister deceived all groups of people about the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation (RLI) program, Jagan Mohan Reddy said that this had harmed regional feelings.
He said that in order to avoid the cash-for-vote issue, in which his audio and video recordings were exposed, Chandrababu Naidu is working against the RLI and allowing neighboring Telangana to get more water than it is entitled to.The YSRCP President stated, “The Chief Minister and his Irrigation Minister’s comments that RLI is a waste only demonstrate how characterless they are in betraying the people of Rayalaseema, and as a testament to the betrayal, the Telangana Chief Minister endorsed this on the floor of the House.”
He said that in order to extract and store more water from the Srisailam project, the Telangana government either constructed new infrastructure or enhanced already-existing infrastructure under Chandrababu Naidu’s administration.
From the 777 to 825-foot level of the Srisailam project, the neighboring state of Telangana has been extracting 8 TMC of water per day via lift and powerhouse operations.Andhra Pradesh has little prospect of obtaining water in such a scenario as the Srisailam water level will not rise to the state’s needs. The RLI project, which intends to extract 3 TMC of water at the 800-foot level from Srisailam, was the only option, according to Jagan Mohan Reddy.
According to the YSRCP Chief, Chandrababu Naidu’s “betrayal” started when he persuaded his party members to bring legal action to halt the project before the National Green Tribunal (NGT).However, the Telangana government disregarded all of the NGT’s notices and proceeded with new projects and the extension of already-existing ones from Kalwakurthy to Dindi. Chandrababu Naidu, on the other hand, did not reply to the NGT during its three sessions, demonstrating his lack of interest, according to Jagan Mohan Reddy. Before our intervention, Telangana, a neighboring state, had jurisdiction over the Nagarjuna Sagar project. Only during our (the YSRCP government’s) tenure did we make sure that every reservoir was filled to capacity,” he said.
The former chief minister said that since the YSRCP administration had completed all the necessary construction and secured the necessary permits, Chandrababu Naidu had resorted to “credit chori” on Bhogapuram airport. It is completely untrue to say that industries left the state under the administration of the YSRCP. The alliance expelled Sajjan Jindal, Aurobindo, Dalmia, Sriridi Sai, and others because they could no longer handle the volume of commissions and harassment. False propaganda has been spread about investments, industries, and employment, despite the fact that the statistics clearly support our (YSRCP) administration, Jagan Mohan Reddy said.
He said that everyone is dissatisfied with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP)-led coalition government, including farmers, students, women, the jobless, and workers.
He said that while Chandrababu Naidu had raised energy charges by Rs 20,135 crore, he had pledged that there would be no rise in power rates.Road cess, toll gates, registration fees, and other taxes have all gone up, yet the state is not receiving the money, demonstrating the extent of corruption. From land to sand to gambling, booze, and ration mafia, commissions are everywhere.
While current Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu raised Rs 3.02 lakh crore during less than two terms of the TDP government, with no accountability for where the money went, Jagan Mohan Reddy said the YSRCP government raised debts of Rs 3.32 lakh crore in five years and gave Rs 2.73 lakh crore through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
He said that Chandrababu Naidu is using a loan calendar, but the YSRCP used a charity calendar.
Jagan Mohan Reddy defended the decision to petition the court over the privatization of medical schools, arguing that the one crore signatures are a legitimate public mandate that should be followed through on.
