Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar has sunk its claws do deeply in fans’ heads that it has overshadowed every new Bollywood release that came out recently. One of them is Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma’s Rahu-Ketu. Samrat and Sharma addressed Dhurandhar’s impact on the anticipated performance of Rahu-Ketu. Here's what they say:

After Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma won hearts with their comic chemistry in Fukrey, they are back with another comedy drama Rahu-Ketu which will hit the big screens on January 16, 2025.
During a Q&A session with the press, the team of Rahu-Ketu was asked if they are bothered by the fact that Dhurandhar’s success has overshadowed other new Bollywood films.
To which Pulkit Samrat replied, “Aap par depend karta hai. Aap dekhne chale jaao humaari picture, darshako” (It depends on the audience. You can go watch our film).
Actor Manu Rishi, who is also a part of Rahu-Ketu, said, “Rahu Ketu bhi Dhurandhar film hai. Dhurandhar dekh li ab bahut logon ne. Jin jin logon ko dikhaani thi, ab dekh li hai. Ab aap dekhen Rahu Ketu.” (Rahu Ketu is also a Dhurandhar film. Majority of the people have already watched Dhurandhar, including everyone who was meant to see. Now you must watch Rahu Ketu)”
The video reached Reddit, with netizens running in the opposite direction, proving how strong Dhurandhar’s fever is.
A Redditor said, “If I’m paying 300 for a movie ticket, it’s going to be Dhurandhar, nothing else (at this moment). Films like these come once in ages, and I’m not missing any chance to watch it!!!!”
Another wrote, “Watched 3 times. Contemplating the 4th one before it’s out of theatres. I THINK I SHOULD”
One more fan said, “I had no idea there’s a movie coming out called Rahu-Ketu! Wow! Now I’ll certainly be watching Dhurandhar for the 3rd time in a hall.”
Aditya Dhar’s directorial Dhurandhar released on December 5, 2025, amassing hefty box office collections within a few weeks. The film broke multiple domestic and international box office records, becoming the highest grossing Indian film of 2025. It surpassed blockbusters like RRR, Kantara Chapter 1, KGF 2, Chhaava and others. It also overshadowed many new releases, including Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and Ikkis.
Directed by Vipul Vig, Rahu-Ketu stars Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Shalini Pandey and Chunky Panday in lead roles. The film, reportedly inspired by folklore, follows Rahu and Ketu, two characters in a writer’s magical notebook who come to life.
