The Uttar Pradesh Board has officially begun the Pre-Board examinations for the academic session 2025–26, marking a crucial phase in the preparation journey of Class 10 and Class 12 students. These examinations are being conducted as a full-scale rehearsal for the final board exams, following the same pattern, rules, and discipline as the main examination. The objective is to familiarize students with the exam environment and reduce stress ahead of the final assessment.

According to the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP), the Pre-Board exams are being organized strictly in line with board examination standards. From question paper distribution to seating arrangements and invigilation duties, every process is being implemented as per the official board exam guidelines. Schools have also been instructed to ensure proper monitoring through CCTV cameras to maintain transparency and fairness during the examinations.

The first day of the Pre-Board examinations was particularly significant for both high school and intermediate students. On Day 1, Class 10 students appeared for the Hindi paper, while Class 12 students took the Civics examination. Since early morning, examination centers across the region witnessed heightened activity as students arrived well before reporting time, displaying seriousness and discipline.

Schools ensured that seating arrangements were made according to the prescribed roll numbers, similar to the final board exams. Question papers were distributed on time, and invigilators were appointed following board norms. Principals and senior teachers actively monitored examination rooms to ensure smooth conduct and adherence to rules.

Students also demonstrated a responsible attitude during the exam. Maintaining silence, following instructions, and completing the paper within the allotted time reflected their seriousness toward the Pre-Board assessment. Many students viewed the exam as an opportunity to test their preparation level and gain confidence before the final board exams.

Education officials emphasized the importance of these examinations. District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) Rakesh Kumar stated that strict compliance with UPMSP guidelines is being ensured at all schools. He added that institutions have been clearly instructed not to show any negligence at any stage of the examination process.

The primary purpose of the Pre-Board exam is to mentally and academically prepare students for the final board examination. Through this assessment, students can evaluate their strengths and weaknesses. Based on their performance, they will get enough time to improve weak areas and revise important topics before appearing in the main examination.

Experts believe that such rehearsal exams play a key role in improving students’ performance. Exposure to a real exam-like environment helps reduce anxiety and boosts confidence. With structured planning and serious participation, the Pre-Board exams are expected to help students achieve better results in the final UP Board examinations.
