Material

  • 1 cup sorghum flour
  • ½ cup millet flour
  • ½ cup rice flour
  • 1 cup finely chopped fresh fenugreek seeds
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds
  • ½ teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1 tsp red chilli (as per taste)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1–2 tbsp oil
  • Warm water as needed

  • First, take all the flours together in a large bowl.
  • Add chopped fenugreek seeds, onion, green chillies, cumin seeds, sesame seeds, turmeric, chillies and salt.
  • Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Knead a soft dough by adding warm water little by little. The dough should not be too tight or too loose.
  • Cover the dough and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
  • Heat a pan on medium heat. Wet your hands with water and pat the ball of dough on the pan to make a round thalipeeth.
  • Leave some oil on top and fry until golden on both sides.
  • Hot fenugreek platters are ready!
  • Fenugreek thalipeeth tastes great with curd or chili paste.
