There has been a political uproar after the ED raid on the Eye Pack office in West Bengal. TMC MPs had reached outside the Union Home Ministry office today to protest against the ED raid in Kolkata. From where the police had taken him into custody. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee protested against the detention of TMC MPs and said that this kind of treatment of MPs cannot be tolerated at all.

Mamata Banerjee posted on X and said, I strongly condemn the shameful and unacceptable behavior meted out to our MPs. Dragging elected representatives onto the streets for exercising their democratic right to protest outside the Home Minister's office is not law enforcement, it is arrogance in uniform. This is democracy, not personal property of BJP.

CM said- BJP's face exposed

CM said that democracy does not run on the convenience or comfort of those in power. When BJP leaders protest, they expect red carpet and special privileges. When opposition MPs raise their voice, they are dragged, detained and humiliated. This double standard highlights the BJP's idea of democracy – obedience, not dissent.

We are citizens by rights, not under the chair- CM

He said it should be clear, respect is mutual, you respect us, we respect you. You will drag us on the street and we will bring you back to the constitutional idea of tolerance, dissent and democratic morality. This is our India. We are citizens by right, not subject to a chair, badge or position of power. No government, no party and no home minister has the right to decide who deserves respect in a democracy.

TMC MP Kirti Azad said – BJP is expert in lying.

On this issue, TMC MP Kirti Azad said that we told that we protested against what happened in Delhi, we had to join Mamata Banerjee's march. At the same time, on BJP's allegations, Azad said that BJP is expert in lying. 2 crore jobs or 15 lakhs to be given.

TMC MP Mahua Moitra has said that Ravi Shankar Prasad has been a failed minister. What will he say? ED raided our property. All our election data was there. If the Chief Minister had not gone to save the property, ED would have given all the data to BJP. This is a 7 year old case, at this time the ED is in our election office.
