Guru Teg Bahadur Shaheedi Diwas In Nanded: Nanded administration is fully prepared for the 350th martyrdom event of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur. About 10 lakh devotees from across the country are expected to attend this huge religious program to be organized on 24th and 25th January.
Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Abichalnagar Sahib in Nanded, Maharashtra, known as Hazur Sahib all over the world, will be the main center of this historic gathering. This ‘Shaheedi Samagam’, organized to commemorate the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, is Not only important from religious point of view, but it is also a special occasion to remember the great sacrifice of the Guru. In view of the huge influx of devotees, the local administration has started extensive crowd management preparations so that the program can be conducted smoothly.
District Magistrate Rahul Kardile told in a high level meeting that a total of 26 committees have been formed to provide basic facilities to the devotees. These committees will handle the responsibility of various departments like housing, food, sanitation and traffic. According to the official, parking and accommodation arrangements for the devotees have been finalized so that the pilgrims coming from India and abroad do not have to face any kind of inconvenience.
Giving priority to safety and health facilities, the administration has put in place a strong framework. A total of 72 hospitals have been empaneled to ensure prompt medical assistance to the visitors. Special medical arrangements will be made in these hospitals to deal with any emergency. Along with this, arrangements for first aid centers are also being made in crowded areas.
This Martyrdom Day has not been limited only to religious rituals, but various programs are also being organized to connect the new generation with the history of the Guru. Speech competition and essay competition are prominent among these programs organized by the administration.
Through these events, information will be disseminated about the life of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur, his teachings and the sacrifices he made to protect the religion. The coordination between the administration and the Gurdwara Board is aimed at making this grand gathering on 24th and 25th January safe and peaceful.
