Indian Air Force has released the city notice for AFCAT-1 2026 (IAF AFCAT 2026) on 9 January. City slips have also been sent to the registered email ID and mobile number of all the candidates. Candidates can make their travel arrangements accordingly. In this, the names of the cities/districts where the examination centers will be allotted are given. Candidates can check the exam city by clicking the link given in the mail and SMS.
This includes information like candidate’s name, father’s name, roll number, exam city/district, exam date, time, registration/application number and guidelines. Information is available although admit card is not. The admit card will contain many other important information including name of the examination centre, address, shift and time.
No official announcement regarding the admit card has been made yet. But looking at the trends of previous years, it is being estimated that the admit cards may be available in the third week of January 2026. Candidates should visit the official website regularly for updates. , It is advisable to keep visiting.
AFCAT-1 exam is scheduled to be conducted in single shift on 31 January 2026. The exam will start from 10:00 am. It will end at 12:00 noon. The total number of vacancies is 340. Its duration will be 2 hours. 100 questions will be asked. Maximum marks will be 300.
Questions to General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test will be asked. Each correct answer will get three marks. There will be negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer. After the written exam, the next stage will be FASB test and medical examination.
