After a theatrical divorce between the Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and dancer Dhanashree Verma, the duo are likely to reunite on a reality show named The 50. According to a report from the Sisasat, both Chahal and Verma have been approached by the reality show management crew.
However, neither Chahal nor Verma signed anything regarding their presence. Neither of them made any public statement regarding that too. However, this report has stirred new controversies regarding the former couple's strangled relationship.
Notably, the couple signed a highly publicized divorce around February last year. Since then, they have spoken about the marriage on several platforms, drawing sympathy and attention from the fans. If The 50 manages to bring the two together, it will be their first reunion since the split.
However, the reports did not clarify whether The 50 are planning to bring them on the same stage or on different days. Despite the clouds, it has drawn enough attention from the fans. The key things about the tea is basically about the drama and the awkwardness that may come on the table if the two face each other.
The Dhanashree-Chahal divorce drama
What began as a fairytale quickly spiralled into one of cricket’s messiest breakups. Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma officially divorced in March 2025, ending a marriage that had been on pause since June 2022.
The drama refused to stay private. Initially started with a kiddish Insta story fight, it turned into personal claims and coylu seeking cleanschits on several podcasta, in their own ways.
Dhanashree alleged infidelity on a reality show, Chahal fired back with “compatibility issues” and clashing career paths. Social media had a field day—especially over fake ₹60 crore alimony rumours, later quashed, with the actual settlement reportedly ₹4.75 crore.
Before the claims Chahal’s headline-grabbing moment: turning up to the final hearing in a “Be your own sugar daddy” T-shirt, which did not go well with Dhanshree. Now, adding spice to the plot, Chahal is rumoured to be dating RJ Mahvash—something fans believed to be ral before the divorce was finalized.
What is The 50?
The 50 is set to stream on JioHotstar and will also air on Colors TV, but it’s not just another Bigg Boss-style reality show. While it sits in the same genre, the format promises something very different.
The show brings 50 contestants together in a grand, palace-like setting—with no fixed rules to follow. This open-ended structure is meant to spark chaos, shifting alliances, and unexpected gameplay. The lineup is likely to feature a mix of celebrities, social media influencers, and even familiar faces from Bigg Boss.
The 50 is the Indian adaptation of the popular French show Les Cinquante, which has already found success globally and inspired the American version Los 50 in 2023. The Indian edition will be hosted by Farah Khan, with the premiere date yet to be announced.
