Carrot Malpua Recipe: The cold season is going on and very good carrots are available in the market. We all are enjoying making delicious carrot halwa in this season. Till now we have shared with you the recipes of carrot laddu, barfi and rasmalai. Today we are going to tell you a brand new sweet dish of carrots.

Many people like Malpua. Have you ever eaten carrot malpua? If not, today we are going to tell you its easy recipe, which you must try at home.

Carrot Malpua Recipe

Material

Carrot – 2 medium (grated)
Flour – 1 cup
Milk – 1 cup
Sugar – ½ cup
Fennel – ½ tsp
Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp
Baking soda – a pinch
Ghee or oil – for frying

for syrup

Sugar – 1 cup
Water – ½ cup
Saffron – 8-10 threads
Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp

Method

  1. First of all, add grated carrots, flour, milk, sugar, fennel, cardamom powder and baking soda in a big vessel. Mix everything well and prepare a thick but runny batter. Keep the batter covered for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Put sugar and water in a pan and boil it. After 2–3 minutes add cardamom powder and saffron. When the syrup becomes a string, turn off the gas.
  3. Heat ghee or oil in a pan. Add one spoon of batter in hot ghee and spread it lightly. Fry the Malpua on medium flame until it turns golden on both sides.
  4. Drop the fried hot malpuas directly into the hot syrup. Leave it in the syrup for 2-3 minutes so that the sweetness penetrates properly.

You can serve hot carrot malpua with rabri, cream or even plain.
