New Delhi. According to JDU (JDU) sources, senior leader K.C. Tyagi’s contribution to the party has now ended. In view of the questions raised on his recent statements and activities, the party leadership decided to distance himself from him. JDU spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan has clarified that now K.C. Tyagi has no formal connection with the party.
How. Tyagi had recently demanded to give Bharat Ratna to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He had written a letter to Prime Minister Modi and presented his views in this regard. In the letter, Tyagi had said that just as Chaudhary Charan Singh and Karpoori Thakur were given this title, Nitish Kumar also deserves it. But, JDU decided to stay away from this demand. Spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan said Tyagi’s statement was different from the party’s official stand and should be seen as his personal opinion.
According to sources, there has been a respectful separation between the two parties, although the party has not taken any formal disciplinary action against Tyagi. This step has been taken in view of their long-term relationship. In the inner circles of the party, this is being considered as the end of an era, while the JDU leadership is focusing on its strategy and organizational strength.
How. Tyagi had recently given a statement in support of cricket player Mustafizur Rahman, which the JDU leadership found inappropriate. He had said that politics should not be brought into sports and India should also allow him to play. But this statement was opposed after the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh. According to the party, Tyagi should not have supported such statements.
JDU leadership believes that when the matter is between two countries, Tyagi should have discussed it with the party. Earlier also he had given statements different from the party’s policy on many important issues, due to which the party had to face a difficult situation. Ultimately, this situation led him to resign from the post of national spokesperson of JDU.
