Under-pressure Thomas Frank has pledged to go full strength in what should be a spectacular tie, featuring two of the biggest teams in the competition.

Villa, sat third in the league table, could add to a stunning campaign with a cup run. Unai Emery has been known to be a master of cup competitions in the past, having won the Europa League on four occasions and the Coupe de France twice while in charge of Paris Saint-Germain.

Tottenham suffered a major blow when captain Cristian Romero was handed a one-match suspension by the FA for his reaction to a red card against Liverpool, forcing him to miss the match.

Mohammed Kudus is ruled out until April after a quad injury, while Rodrigo Bentancur also suffered a hamstring injury in the 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth.

Lucas Bergvall is a doubt while Dominic Solanke, Destiny Udogie, Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison remain injured. Pape Matar Sarr's Senegal knocked out Yves Bissouma's Mali at the Africa Cup of Nations, but the latter won't be available so soon.

For Villa, Emi Martinez has been ruled out of the tie after he was forced off at half-time against Crystal Palace.

Amadou Onana and Ross Barkley remain out, Evann Guessand is at AFCON, but Tyrone Mings will be assessed. New signing Alysson could be involved.
