The Women's Premier League has come to be such a tournament that even some big scores can no longer be considered safe. This was reiterated again in 2026 when Gujarat Giants posted a massive target of 208 against UP Warriorz, suggesting how strong and fearless batting has become in the league.

Not even now have the memories of that match faded from people's minds, and the WPL has had several other iconic run chases; nail-bitters down to the last ball and others that could have been termed easy dominations. Here is a list of the five highest historic successful run chases in WPL, each thus far a special moment in the tournament.

A terrible show on the dramatic premiere of WPL 2024, with Delhi Capitals making 171 for the loss of 5 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, crediting a splendid 75 from Alice Capsey and speedy runs from Jemimah Rodrigues.

4. 179-UP Warriorz vs. Gujarat Giants, 2023

In the very first season of the WPL, UP Warriorz made a notable chase against Gujarat Giants. In pursuing the target of 179, the UP Warriorz did not depend on one huge innings.

Instead, many batters contributed at different moments. They negotiated the middle overs well and comfortably reached their target, showing early in the tournament that even targets near that mark of 180 could be chased.

3. 189-Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs. Gujarat Giants,

It is remembered for one of the finest batting displays in the history of the WPL. Gujarat Giants have scored 188-4, led by Laura Wolvaardt and Ashleigh Gardner.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru bounced back strongly. Sophie Devine played an innings of 99 off only 36 balls, which completely changed the match scenario. RCB reached the target in only 15.3 overs. Their playing style was completely aggressive.
