Here we are talking about Love and God. This picture was taken by K. Asif had also created and produced it. Also, it was the only color picture. Through which the love story of Laila Majnu was conveyed to the audience. The work of this film started in 1963, at that time Guru Dutt was cast as the lead. In the film, Guru Dutt was in the role of Kais and Nimmi was in the role of Laila. But the film remained incomplete due to the sudden death of Guru Dutt in the year 1964, after which the picture was stopped.
However, later director and producer Asif chose Sanjeev Kumar for the role of lead hero. After which the film work was started again in 1970. But then something happened which no one had even thought. Actually K. Asif died on 9 March 1971. And by that time the climax had not been shot so the film got stuck again.
15 years after the director's death, his wife fulfilled a big promise. He met producer K. With the help of C. Bokadia decided to release the incomplete film. Went to three different studios and put together all the parts of the film. And finally everything was prepared and released in 1986. However, by the time of the film's release, lead actor Sanjeev Kumar had also passed away.
