Google keeps a record of all your online activity. If you are concerned about your privacy and want to prevent this, you will need to change some settings.

Google is used for everything, including search, email, videos, maps, and documents. The biggest advantage is that you don't need to create separate accounts for all these tasks, but the downside is that Google knows about all your activity. Google has information about the places you visit, the videos you watch, and the people you communicate with via email, which is not a good sign from a privacy perspective. Today, we are going to tell you about some settings that will allow you to take control of your data.

Turn off these settings if you want privacy

Turn off Web & App Activity - This Google account setting collects the most data. It contains all the information about what you searched for, which apps you used, which websites you visited, and which videos you watched on YouTube. To turn it off, go to the Google My Activity page, select Web & App Activity, and turn it off. Here you can choose the "Turn off and delete" option, which will delete all the data stored there.

Disable Timeline and Location History - If you use Google Maps frequently, you must have heard about this feature. It uses your phone's location services to record where you go. To change this setting, you can go to the Google My Activity page and turn off the Timeline feature.

Remove Third-Party Connections - If you also select the "Sign in with Google" option for every third-party app and service, you should definitely review this setting. Every time you sign in, you give these services permission to use some of your data. To disable this feature, go to your My Google Account page and select Third-party connections. Here you will see all the accounts where you have signed in using your Google account. From here, you can remove any unwanted connections.
