Bareilly: A sensational incident has come to light in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, which is tearing apart relations. Here a newly married woman has made a serious allegation of rape against her own brother-in-law. The victim says that when she tried to raise her voice against this oppression, instead of supporting her, her husband and mother-in-law tortured her brutally. The police have now taken strict action in this matter and registered a case against the three accused.

Taking advantage of loneliness, brother-in-law crossed all limits

The victim, a resident of Cantt police station area, told that her marriage had taken place only on 11th December. The joys of marriage at home had not even ended when this dreadful incident happened. According to the woman, she was alone at home on January 1. Taking advantage of this, her brother-in-law forcibly entered the room and locked the door from inside. Despite her protest, the accused committed rape on her.

Instead of becoming a shield, the husband threatened to commit suicide.

When the victim, devastated by this incident, told the whole truth to her husband, she was hopeful that she would get justice. But the allegation is that instead of supporting his wife, the husband forced her to remain silent. The husband mentally tortured her and threatened to commit suicide if she complained to the police. Not only this, when the woman did not agree, the husband, brother-in-law and mother-in-law together beat her badly and tried to keep her imprisoned in the house.

Police started searching for the accused

Somehow, gathering courage, the victim reached Baradari police station and narrated her ordeal. Inspector in-charge Dhananjay Pandey said that the complaint of the victim has been taken very seriously. On the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered against the accused brother-in-law, husband and mother-in-law under relevant sections. Police say that the case is being investigated thoroughly and soon the accused will be arrested and sent behind the bars.
