The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a circular to schools, laying down strict guidelines. These new rules will directly impact student admissions and school transparency. Parents can now view all school details online, including teacher details and qualifications, before enrolling their children. According to the new rules, all school information will now be available online.

According to the CBSE circular, every affiliated school must clearly upload details of its teachers' educational qualifications, professional training, experience, and joining dates on its official website. The board believes that the quality of education is directly related to the qualifications and availability of teachers. Therefore, choosing a school based solely on its reputation or impressive infrastructure will no longer suffice. It will be crucial to assess the qualifications of the teachers who will be teaching the children.

The new rules also clarify that schools must strictly adhere to the student-teacher ratio, the availability of subject-wise teachers, and the prescribed minimum qualifications. If a school is found to have fewer teachers than required or unqualified teachers, action can be taken against it. This includes measures ranging from warnings to affecting the school's affiliation.

Complete Details for Parents
The CBSE has taken this step to ensure that parents have accurate and complete information when choosing a school. Often, schools claim to offer excellent facilities during admissions, but no information is publicly available regarding the qualifications of the teachers who will be teaching in the classrooms.

The board has now decided to put an end to this practice. Education experts say that this rule will prove extremely beneficial for parents. They will now be able to check on the school's website whether the teacher teaching their child is trained, holds a degree in the relevant subject, and has sufficient experience.

Website Maintenance Required
The CBSE circular clearly states that all affiliated schools must create and maintain their school websites. Essential information such as building details, infrastructure, labs, teachers, teacher qualifications, student-teacher ratio, and transfer lists must be kept online. Schools are also advised to update this information regularly. Schools will have to prepare an annual report containing all the updated details and achievements. This report will be updated online every year before September 15th.
