Mikel Arteta has brushed off any issues between Arsenal's assistant coach Albert Stuivenberg and Declan Rice following their fiery exchange. The pair were caught on camera having a heated argument in the tunnel at Stamford Bridge earlier this week, with Rice clearly agitated, but Arteta has made it clear that the matter has been settled.

Speaking on Friday, he said: "All sorted, all good. The good thing is that by the time I found out the problem was resolved so that's very good." Video footage of their animated spat surfaced after the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg triumph over Chelsea.

In the video, Rice can be seen gesticulating wildly at Stuivenberg, with Gabriel Magalhaes stepping in to try and defuse the situation. Rice was substituted with around 10 minutes remaining of the match and shared a hug with the coach before taking his place on the bench.

Earlier in the clash, Rice had set up Ben White for the opening goal of the match within the first few minutes. Goals from Martin Zubimendi and Viktor Gyokeres put Arsenal in the driving seat, but Alejandro Garnacho scored twice to make the second leg at Emirates Stadium an enticing prospect.

Before that crucial match, the Gunners have five fixtures across the Premier League and Champions League. The first of these takes place this Saturday evening with a visit to Nottingham Forest.

Injury concerns have eased for Arteta recently, though Cristhian Mosquera, Riccardo Calafiori, Piero Hincapie and Max Dowman are presently sidelined. Nevertheless, the Gunners manager has suggested comebacks could occur this weekend.

When questioned about whether any of the quartet could return, he said: "There might be, so I need to meet now with the medical staff. We have a training session now and see if somebody is available for the weekend."

After the match at the City Ground, Arsenal continue their away fixtures and are scheduled to face Inter in their penultimate European league stage encounter.

The Gunners then return to north London to welcome Manchester United, who will have Michael Carrick as their interim boss following the sacking of Ruben Amorim.

Kairat Almaty then visit Emirates Stadium several days after that, with Arsenal aiming to secure their spot in the top eight, which would allow them to bypass a play-off round.

A meeting with Leeds United at Elland Road concludes the Gunners' January schedule, with the semi-final second leg against the Blues coming after that.

February presents another hectic month for Arteta's squad as they could play up to six fixtures, depending on whether they advance to the Carabao Cup final.

Presently scheduled are matches against Sunderland, Brentford and Tottenham, alongside an FA Cup fourth round fixture against Wigan Athletic.
