IND vs NZ T20 Series:The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made major changes in the Indian team before the T20 series to be played against New Zealand. Two players of Team India are currently suffering from injuries, due to which BCCI has had to announce replacements. While Washington Sundar and Tilak Verma have been out of the team due to injuries, Ravi Bishnoi and Shreyas Iyer have been given a chance in their place. Both the players have returned to the T20 team after a long time.
All-rounder Washington Sundar suddenly felt pain in the lower part of the ribs while bowling during the first ODI match played in Vadodara on 11 January. After this, his side strain was confirmed in the scan done. The medical team has advised him to take rest for a few days. At the same time, Tilak Verma is also already out of the first 3 T20 matches due to injury. In such a situation, leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi has been included in the T20I team in place of Washington Sundar.
On the other hand, Shreyas Iyer has been included in the T20I squad in place of injured Tilak Verma. Shreyas Iyer will be part of the team for the first three T20 matches. Shreyas Iyer has returned to the Indian T20 team after 2 years. He played his last T20 match in December 2023. At the same time, Ravi Bishnoi has also not played any T20 match for Team India since February 2025. In such a situation, this series can prove to be a big opportunity for both the players.
