World’s busiest international airport revealed and it’s not Singapore Changi

Dubai International Airport retained its position as the world’s busiest international airport in 2025 with 62.4 million international seats, increasing by 4% year-on-year, according to data from British aviation firm OAG.

London Heathrow Airport is in second place in 2025 with 49 million international seats, a 1% increase compared to 2024 and 4% above 2019 levels, according to the report based on scheduled capacity and seat numbers for international flight routes.

Seoul Incheon International Airport was at third position with 43 million seats, growing by 3% compared to 2024, signaling a full recovery in international travel at the airport.

Singapore Changi Airport, always crowned the world’s best airport, ranked fourth with 42.6 million seats, a 3% year-on-year increase, bringing capacity back in line with 2019 levels.

Hong Kong International Airport recorded the largest year-on-year increase in the top 10, growing by 12% to 38.7 million seats in 2025, putting it at 8th place.

Serving as the primary hub for Emirates airline, Dubai International Airport handles nearly 100 carriers that fly to more than 240 destinations on six continents.

It also boasts facilities like zen gardens, an outdoor swimming pool, a gym, cinemas, diverse dining options, and a five-star hotel.
