India's youth team continued its brilliant performance in the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026. In the 7th match of the tournament, India defeated Bangladesh by runs under the Duckworth-Lewis rule. The match was interrupted several times due to rain and wet pitch, but the Indian team maintained its dominance. Due to which she was successful in achieving second consecutive victory. In this match, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Abhigyan Kundu played important innings for the team. Then the bowlers showed a strong game and won.
This match was played at Queens Sports Club. Where Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bowl first. But due to rain this match was already reduced to 49-49 overs. Then as soon as the match started, India faced big setbacks in the beginning. Captain Ayush Mhatre, Vedant Trivedi and Vihaan Malhotra returned to the pavilion early. After this Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Abhigyan Kundu took over the innings of Team India. Vaibhav Suryavanshi faced 67 balls and scored 72 runs, which included 6 fours and 3 sixes.
Abhigyan Kundu also led the team by scoring 80 runs in 112 balls. He hit 4 fours and 3 sixes in this innings. Along with these, Kanishk Chauhan also added 28 runs in 26 balls. Due to which Team India managed to score 238 runs in 48.4 overs. Al Fahad bowled amazingly for Bangladesh and took 5 wickets.
Bangladesh had a very good start while chasing the target. At one time the team had scored 90 runs at the loss of 2 wickets in 17.2 overs. But after this the game was stopped due to rain. Then when the match started, Bangladesh got the target of 165 runs in 29 overs. But here Team India overturned the entire match. Within no time, Bangladesh team was all out after scoring 146 runs in 28.3 overs. During this, Vihaan Malhotra took maximum 4 wickets. Khilan Patel also achieved 2 successes. Deepesh Devendran, Henil Patel and Kanishk Chauhan showed the way to the pavilion to one batsman each.
