Junaid Safdar, son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has officially tied the knot with Shanzeh Ali, granddaughter of senior political leader Sheikh Rohail Asghar. The wedding festivities began with a vibrant mehndi ceremony in Lahore on Friday, setting the tone for a series of grand celebrations.

The mehndi event drew widespread attention, not just for its colorful décor and lively atmosphere, but also for the stunning presence of Maryam Nawaz. The Punjab Chief Minister looked radiant in an elegant outfit that perfectly complemented the emerald-themed ceremony. Her style and poise quickly caught the eyes of guests and social media alike, making her the highlight of the evening.

Close family members and friends attended the intimate gathering, sharing in the couple’s joy. The emerald and floral-themed décor, combined with traditional music and vibrant celebrations, created a festive atmosphere that reflected the excitement surrounding the young couple’s new beginning.

Following the mehndi, the nikkah ceremony took place in a private housing society in Lahore. Junaid Safdar arrived with a formal wedding procession, and the ceremony was solemnized by the respected Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology, Allama Raghib Naeemi. Shanzeh Ali looked stunning in her traditional attire, completing the picture of a beautifully orchestrated wedding.

The celebrations will continue with a grand valima reception scheduled for January 18, 2026, at the Sharif family’s Jati Umra residence. High-profile guests, including political leaders and dignitaries, are expected to attend the event, making it one of the most talked-about weddings of the year.
