The wedding festivities of Junaid Safdar, grandson of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, have become one of the most talked-about social events of the season. Lavish celebrations, star-studded gatherings, and breathtaking fashion moments from the Mehndi and Barat ceremonies have dominated social media timelines.
Among all the glamour, Maryam Nawaz emerged as a true style icon, earning immense praise for her refined elegance and impeccable fashion choices. Her looks for both events reflected a perfect blend of tradition, grace, and contemporary couture.
Mehndi Look: A Burst of Festive Radiance
For the Mehndi ceremony, Maryam Nawaz chose a radiant mustard-yellow lehenga choli designed by celebrated Pakistani designer Nomi Ansari. The outfit was intricately adorned with traditional gota work, showcasing fine craftsmanship and festive charm. The statement dupatta, finished with detailed hand embellishments and a bold border, was draped gracefully, adding sophistication to her overall appearance. Fashion critics applauded her choice for balancing vibrancy with elegance.

While the designer does not publicly disclose prices, Nomi Ansari’s bridal ensembles are known to start from approximately PKR 5.5 lakh, reflecting the exclusivity of the couture label.
Barat Look: Understated Royalty
On the Barat night, Maryam Nawaz opted for a luxurious olive-green tissue silk ensemble featuring a long, heavily embellished kameez. The outfit was enriched with delicate silver zardozi and fine dhaga work, paired with a sleek churidar pajama and a perfectly coordinated dupatta. Completing the regal look, she adorned herself with traditional Polki and Kundan jewelry, exuding timeless grace. The ensemble, part of the designer’s premium bridal line, is estimated to be priced between PKR 255,000 and PKR 355,000.

Her poised presence and classic styling once again reinforced her status as one of Pakistan’s most elegant public figures.
Shanzeh Ali Rohail Turns Heads with a Sabyasachi Masterpiece at Mehndi

The Mehndi ceremony, held at Jati Umra, marked the beginning of Junaid Safdar’s wedding celebrations, attended by close family members from the Sharif and Awan families. The bride-to-be, Shanzeh Ali Rohail, granddaughter of senior politician Sheikh Rohail Asghar, captured hearts with her breathtaking bridal look.

Shanzeh wore an exquisite emerald green and multi-coloured lehenga by legendary Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The multi-panelled lehenga was lavishly embellished with zardozi, dabka, gota patti, and shimmering sequins. A soft tea-pink net dupatta draped elegantly over one shoulder added a romantic touch to the ensemble.
She accessorized with classic kundan and polki jewelry, styled her hair into a sleek bun, and opted for luminous peach-toned makeup that enhanced her natural beauty. The makeup and styling were flawlessly executed by Saad Samie. Notably, the blouse was specially customized for Shanzeh, making the look uniquely hers.
Sabyasachi’s couture creations are sold on a Price on Request basis; however, similar heavily embroidered lehengas from the brand’s 2023–2024 collections have been priced between ₹9,95,000 and ₹12,50,000, highlighting the grandeur of the bridal attire.
