Princess Eugenie just brutally snubbed Andrew - now it's time for Beatrice to do the same

In 2018 blushing bride Princess Eugenie was walked down the aisle by her father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor ... now she's too ashamed of his scandals to speak with him. And the question now is will her devoted older sister Beatrice do exactly the same and break off contact with the 65 year-old former duke?

He was at the peak of his powers when he gave away Eugenie at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, on October 12, 2018 - before the Yorks' house of cards started to crumble. Andrew's past friendship with vile US paedophile and financier Jeffrey Epstein has seen his own royal life implode.

He is now no longer a prince, Duke of York, Earl of Inverness and Baron Killyleagh or Colonel of the Grenadier Guards and has been shorn of the Order of the Garter and the Knight Grand Cross of the Victorian Order.

He's also lost several overseas honorary roles, including colonel-in-chief of The Royal Highland Fusiliers Of Canada, and colonel-in-chief of the Royal New Zealand Army Logistic Regiment.

Soon Andrew and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson will depart Royal Lodge, in Windsor, after they agreed to leave - with the more modest Marsh Farm in Sandringham being renovated to suit his future needs.

King Charles will be hoping Andrew goes to Marsh Farm, goes to pasture and is never heard from again.

But now his personal life could also be collapsing if reports are true that Eugenie, 35, has been refusing to speak to her father and did not visit him at Royal Lodge over Christmas.

Instead both Eugenie and Beatrice chose to spend Christmas Day with King Charles, William and Catherine at Sandringham.

Andrew is said to be "devastated" at the snub, likened by society writers to Brooklyn Beckham's cold estrangement to his parents Victoria and David.

Princess Beatrice appears to be taking a nuanced approach by trying to remain in contact with her father - but also maintaining her reputation in the Royal Family.

She invited Andrew to the christening of her 11-month-old daughter Athena in London last month but he wisely avoided a party held afterwards in a local pub.

The source added: "Beatrice is trying to walk the fine line of not cutting her father off and yet remaining close with the Royal Family - but Eugenie isn't trying to walk that line. She's not speaking to him."

Married mum-of-two Eugenie - or HRH Princess Eugenie, Mrs Jack Brooksbank - is director at the Hauser & Wirth art gallery in London. She has a reputation that Andrew's scandals are not helping.

But Beatrice has a reputation too and is devoted to her sister. Beatrice's husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi is the founder and chief executive of Banda Property - while she works as a strategic advisor for the software company Afiniti and her own advisory firm, BY-EQ.

Will she really keep on her high-wire balancing act of supporting both sides - or will she agree with her sister that her father deserves the cold-shoulder?

The siblings are also close to the Prince and Princess of Wales, and will be acutely aware of the embarrassment the Andrew and Epstein story has caused King Charles and the other royals.

Some felt Andrew was punished for his years of friendship with Epstein by losing his titles - but if his daughters turn their back on him, that is probably the punishment many feel he truly deserves.
