Fans of thrillers are in for a treat as esteemed actress Anna Maxwell Martin, best known for her roles in Motherland and Until I Kill You, is starring in a new Prime Video thriller, which is out soon.

Dropping on January 21, the series stars some huge names and is led by Game of Thrones icon Sophie Turner.

All six episodes will drop at the same time, meaning fans can prepare to binge their way through the series, titled Steal. The high-stakes thriller, which already has fans talking, follows ordinary office worker, Zara (Turner), who finds herself at the heart of the "heist of the century".

Whilst working at the pension fund investment company, Lochmill Capital, a typical day is upended when a gang of violent thieves bursts in and demands billions of pounds in cash. Zara and her best friend Luke (Archie Madekwe) are tasked with carrying out the gang's demands.

DCI Rhys (Jacob Fortune-Lloyd) is called in to catch the crooks, but as a recently relapsed gambling addict, he must learn to keep his own money struggles at bay. Meanwhile, Zara takes matters into her own hands when the investigation brings up more questions than answers.

Anna Maxwell Martin's character is seen talking to Zara in the trailer, asking her, "tell us what you know", or MI5 "could kill you". Details about her role have been kept under wraps, but she appears to be a detective of sorts.

While the series is not based on a true story, it has been described by Good Housekeeping as having a "scarily real" premise. Vernon Sanders, Head of Television at Amazon MGM Studios, called it a "uniquely thrilling ride".

Prime Video shared the trailer on Facebook and fans flocked to the comments when they saw the Motherland and Line of Duty actress. Shelley Griffiths said: "Well, if Anna Maxwell Martin is in it, I'll be watching!"

The star is best recognised for her crime drama roles, having appeared in A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, Ludwig and Until I Kill You. For the latter, she embodied the real-life Delia Balmer, who was in an abusive relationship with serial killer John Sweeney.

She did not speak to the real Delia before filming, making her portrayal all the more original. She said in an interview: "I've played quite a few real people and I have never met them before. I don't choose to do that, that's how I work.

"Our writer filmed a lot of footage of his meetings with Delia, which I had access to. I did meet her very briefly during filming, but only because she wanted to visit the set and of course I was respectful of that."

"I didn't do lots of research into abusive relationships either, instead I just focused on the character, on who she was, how she responded to things, and what I could gauge about how she interacted with people." She won three major awards for her portrayal of Delia.

Fans took to the Steal trailer's comments section on YouTube to express their excitement for her latest venture. @PozoBlue said: "Ohhhh this actually looks original and exciting! Looking forward to this!"

@Glasweg1an commented: "Oooooh Prime video comes through clutch, this looks exciting. Don't let me down, I`m gonna start this on the 21st." @genedeangelo3800 concluded: "Wow, I'm not impressed easily, this looks amazing. WTF!"
