Record date fixed for dividend
The company has shared information regarding the interim dividend to be given to shareholders. In a notification given to the stock exchange on January 20, Persistent Systems stated that the board meeting approved an interim dividend of Rs 22 per share. To avail of this dividend, the company has set January 27 as the record date.
This means that only those investors whose names are in the company's records until one day before this date will be entitled to this payment. However, investors will only have the opportunity to buy shares until January 23. This is because January 24 and 25 will be weekly holidays (Saturday and Sunday). The market will also be closed on January 26 on the occasion of Republic Day.
When will the dividend money be received?
According to the company, the payment will be made to the shareholders within the stipulated time frame after the dividend announcement. As per the announcement made on January 20, the dividend amount will be transferred directly to the investors' bank accounts within 30 days. Eligible shareholders are expected to receive the dividend amount by March 20.

On Wednesday, January 21, the company's shares saw a decline on the BSE. The shares closed the day trading at ₹6243.80, down 1.57 percent or ₹99.40. The intraday high for the day was ₹6395.20.
