Once again a new debate has started in the name of tribals in the politics of Madhya Pradesh. Leader of Opposition in MP Assembly Umang Singhar once again called Hanuman ji a tribal. Now BJP has hit back on this statement. Leader of Opposition in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Umang Singhar was addressing a program at Sendhwa in Barwani district on Thursday.
During this, he said that the monkey army included in Lord Ram's army was actually tribal, but the storytellers presented them as monkeys. Umang Singhar alleged that BJP and RSS always talk about converting tribals into Hindus, whereas tribals have their own distinct culture, tradition and identity.
He said that the tribals worship the sun, cows and crops and are proud of their traditions. The Leader of Opposition said that the tribals are not weak, they have the strength of bow and arrow, self-respect and rich cultural heritage. He clearly said that there will be no compromise with tribal culture and customs.
BJP has also reacted to this statement of Umang Singhar. BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma sarcastically said that Hanuman ji is everyone's God and if someone considers him a tribal then BJP has no objection on it.
Rameshwar Sharma said that Hanuman ji was a devotee of Ram, a great warrior and he played an important role in the victory of Lord Ram for the establishment of truth. He also said that if Hanuman ji is considered a tribal, then the tribals should worship him and Umang Singhar should build Hanuman temples at various places. It is noteworthy that this is not the first time that Umang Singhar has given such a statement. Earlier in June 2023, on the occasion of the death anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda in Bagh of Dhar district, he had also described Hanuman ji as a tribal.
