Escape to the Chateau stars Dick and Angel Strawbridge have shared some major career news following their sudden show axe.
The cherished couple shot to fame on their popular Channel 4 seriesback in 2016. The show followed the pair renovating the chateau that they purchased for £280,000 in 2015 as they turned it into a luxury wedding venue, now worth £2million.
However, the programme came to an end in 2023 after a reported behind-the-scenes fallout, which involved bullying allegations.
The channel said it would no longer be working with Angel and Dick on any upcoming productions after an inquiry into their conduct while filming. Dick and Angel have always denied the allegations against them.
But now, the couple have shared some major career news with fans, confirming they are back recording their podcast. On their Instagram, Dick and Angel announced the news.
They wrote. “Hello to you this Wonderful Wednesday! After a little break from the world of podcasting, we're back in the 'Chateau Studio' tomorrow recording and filming our brand-new podcast!
“Yes, that's right...you wanted to see more of us so we are now filming the full episode!! We can't lie...it honestly feels like having a date with each other and with you.
“If you've listened to our previous shows…..you know there's always a chance to ask questions and we're opening the floor again. So if you have a question for either of us, on any subject (cough), drop it in the comments below! We can't wait to hear from you Have a lovely day!”
As expected, Dick and Angel’s fans couldn’t contain their excitement in the comments section. One person said: “Yaaaaaaay can't wait!!!! Missed all of you and everything you created.”
