An important achievement has been registered in the direction of developing Nava Raipur of Chhattisgarh as a major healthcare hub of the country. In the presence of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, a lease agreement of 15 acres of land was signed between the country's prestigious Bombay Hospital and Medical Research Center and Nava Raipur Development Authority at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan in Nava Raipur. This agreement will give a new impetus to the development of the proposed Medicity in Nava Raipur.

This project will not only strengthen the healthcare infrastructure of the state, but will also become an example of Chhattisgarh's fast and reliable administrative functioning in the field of investment. After the investment invitation was issued by the state government on 24 September 2025, the process of land marking, necessary approvals and registration was completed within just four months, which is a new benchmark in itself.

Multi super-specialty hospital on 15 acres of land

A 300-bed state-of-the-art multi super-specialty hospital will be set up by the Bombay Hospital Trust on 15 acres of land allotted by the Nava Raipur Development Authority at a cost of approximately ₹680 crore. This hospital will be the trust's fourth super specialty hospital in the country. Before this, the Trust's super specialty hospitals are successfully operating in Mumbai, Indore and Jaipur.

Many advanced medical services including cardiac sciences, cancer treatment, neurology, orthopedics, critical care, organ transplant will be available through Bombay Hospital. With its launch, patients from Chhattisgarh and surrounding states will not have to migrate to metros like Mumbai or Delhi for treatment of serious diseases.

More than 500 direct employment opportunities will be created

The project is likely to create more than 500 direct employment opportunities, which will include doctors, surgeons, nurses, paramedical staff and medical technicians. Along with this, large scale indirect employment will also be generated in healthcare supply chain, services and allied sectors, which will provide a significant boost to the local economy.

The Chief Minister also said that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to the continuous expansion of basic facilities in the health sector. The investment of a prestigious institution like Bombay Hospital in Nava Raipur is a testament to the state's confidence in its policy stability, fast decision-making capabilities and investor-friendly environment.
