Bollywood actress Mouni Roy has recently spoken openly about a very sad and disturbing incident that happened to her during an event held in Karnal city of Haryana. He shared this entire incident on his Instagram stories and told how some viewers misbehaved with him. Mouni wrote that when she went to Karnal for an event last week, she was very disappointed by the behavior of some people present there.
In particular, two elderly men (who were of the same age as her grandparents) did very wrong things to her. As she was going towards the stage, some family members and uncles put their hands on her waist in the pretext of taking photographs. Mouni said politely, ‘Sir, please remove your hand,’ but she did not like this at all.
When Mouni reached the stage, the situation became even worse. Two male persons stood right in front of him and started making obscene comments, making dirty gestures and abusing. At first Mouni tried to stop them peacefully, but they did not agree. Instead they started throwing rose petals on him. Despite all this, Mouni tried to leave the stage midway, but then came back with courage and completed her entire performance.

According to him, the stage was very high and these people were making the video from the wrong angle from below. When someone tried to stop them, they started abusing. No organizer or family member came forward to stop them. Mouni is very sad and shocked. She wrote that if a well-known actress like her is treated like this, then it scares me to think what would have happened to the new girls who are just coming into the industry and doing shows.
He further said, ‘We artists just try to earn employment honestly through our art. We go to these events to congratulate the bride and groom and join their happiness. We are their guests, but in return we have to endure such humiliation. Imagine, what will these people do if their own friends do this to their daughters, sisters or any woman in the family? Shame on such people! Mouni expressed a lot of anger and pain regarding this incident. He said that he loves his country, his traditions and his people very much, but this kind of behavior is intolerable. He expressed his displeasure with words like ‘arrogance of being a man’. In the end, Mouni demanded from the authorities that strict action should be taken against such intolerable behaviour. She wants that artists should be respected and such incidents should not happen again.
