Pakistan cricket team may be out of T20 World Cup
T-20 World Cup 2026: Scotland has been included after the exclusion of Bangladesh cricket team from T-20 World Cup 2026. Now questions have also been raised on Pakistan’s playing. There is a possibility that the Pakistan cricket team may withdraw from the T-20 World Cup.
Pakistan had supported Bangladesh when it was out of the T-20 World Cup. Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had criticized ICC. Along with this, Naqvi had also indicated that Pakistan itself could decide to pull out of the T20 World Cup.
PCB chief Mohsin Naqbi said that the final decision on Pakistan’s participation will be taken after consultation with the Pakistan government. According to Aaj Tak’s report, Naqbi said that the stand regarding our participation in the World Cup will be whatever the Pakistani government tells me. He further said that PM Shahbaz Sharif is not in Pakistan at present. I will be able to give the final decision after his return. We listen to our government and not ICC.
Till now, no decision has been taken by the Pakistan Cricket Board to withdraw from the T20 World Cup. If Pakistan is out of this World Cup, then Uganda can get a place in its place. It can get a place in Group A along with India, Netherlands, Namibia and Netherlands.
